About The Oracle…
Based on a true story. In 1967, while filming Oedipus the King at the Dodoni amphitheater in Greece, an aging Orson Welles encounters the English poet and translator Paul Roche. Welles, relegated to a supporting role of the Oracle behind up-and-comer Christopher Plummer, drunkenly lashes out at the director, crew, and writer. Welles and Roche square off in a battle of artistic wills, revealing the cost of fame. “No artist should ever outlive his career.” Featuring Kristopher Noteboom as Orson Welles and David Helms as Paul Roche. Written by Steven Young and produced by Wilde Productions.
